Fodor's Expert Review Baladerry Inn
40 Hospital Rd., Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 17325, USA
This 1812 farmstead property just south of downtown Gettsyburg offers 10 rooms among three 19th-century homes. During the Battle of Gettysburg, the oldest building on the property, which is located on the edge of the battlefield, served as a field hospital. Today it serves breakfast to the guests who overnight here. The carefully restored rooms are filled with antiques; many have fireplaces. Those on the ground floor of the carriage house have their own patios.
