With close access to some of the best freshwater fishing venues in the Northwest, Medford has several companies that lead tours and provide gear.

Carson's Guide Service. Based 22 miles north of Medford along Highway 62 (toward Crater Lake), Carson's provides expert instruction and knowledge of many of the area's rivers, including the Rogue, Sixes, Umpqua, Coquille, Elk, and Chetco, as well as several lakes. Fishing The Rogue. These experienced outfitter offers half- and full-day guided steelhead and salmon fishing trips in heated boats, with all gear provided, on the Rogue and Umpqua rivers as well as some of the waterways that flow down toward the southern Oregon Coast.
