What's Nearby

Getting Around

Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel has an incredible location; you’re just steps away from the trails of Tom McCall Waterfront Park and just minutes away from downtown, which is easily walkable and has plenty of access to public transportation. You can also ask the front desk to borrow a complimentary bicycle during your stay so you can explore the city on two wheels. If you do decide to bring a car, it’s $35 per night.

Restaurants

If you find yourself with a hankering for fish thanks to your waterfront location, head to Murata (6-minute walk), where you’ll find some of the best sushi in downtown. If you’re in the mood for something a bit heavier, try Il Terrazzo (3-minute walk), where you can enjoy high-quality traditional Italian fare (the pasta dishes are especially good) with an incredible view of the river.

Bars

Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel is a classy place, but one thing Portland is known for is dive bars--and you won’t find a divier spot than Yamhill Pub (11-minute walk), where the beer is cheap and the walls are covered in decades of graffiti (ask the bartender for a Sharpie and leave your mark). If you’re looking for something more upscale, try Kask (10-minute drive), a lounge with a great cocktail menu and a rustic vibe similar to RiverPlace.
