Fodor's Expert Review Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B

1810 N.E. 15th Ave., Portland, Oregon, 97212, USA Fodor's Choice

Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.

Oak and mahogany floors, original light fixtures, and a coffered dining-room ceiling set a tone of formal elegance in this 1906 mansion, while the wonderfully friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable innkeepers—Dusty and Steve—make sure that you feel perfectly at home. In a beautiful residential neighborhood, you're a block from the several good shops and restaurants of N.W. Broadway and an easy walk from the Lloyd Center MAX light-rail station. The innkeepers serve a hearty home-cooked breakfast and set out fresh-baked treats every afternoon. All rooms have private bathrooms. While children under 10 are not permitted in the main house, the basement apartment is perfect for families.

  • gorgeous house
  • top-notch service
  • home-cooked meals

CONS
