Bathroom

The contemporary finishes in the bathroom give the space a luxury feel, but in terms of space, they could definitely be a little bigger.

Lobby

The lobby at Hilton Portland Downtown is definitely the crown jewel of the property. The contemporary light fixtures, high ceilings, communal tables, and contemporary color palette make for an inviting space you’ll want to kick back and relax in.

Gym

Most hotel gyms are nothing more than dated cardio machines and a few sets of free weights. But not at Hilton Portland Downtown. This newly renovated gym is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of treadmills, stationary bikes, weight machines, and accessories.

Dining

HopCity Tavern dishes up pub-inspired classics for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Be sure to sample some of the restaurant’s signature dishes, like the HUB IPA Mac ‘n Cheese or the HopCity Burger. Not in the mood for a sit-down meal? Stop by The Market, which has a great selection of snacks and sandwiches to-go.

Drinking

HopCity Tavern has plenty of beer, wine, and spirits to help you relax after a long day. For a truly Portland experience, make sure to try a local brew (they have 7 local beers on tap) or a glass of wine (HopCity Tavern features 12 local PNW wines by the glass).

Getting Around

Getting around Portland without a car is simple. The downtown area is extremely walkable, and if you wanted to venture further, there’s a MAX Light Rail station just a block away from the hotel. If you do decide to bring a car, expect to pay $47 per day for valet.

Restaurants

Fuel a long day of exploring Portland with some healthy eats from Kure Juice Bar (1-minute walk). In addition to organic juices (Liquid Sunshine, which mixes orange, apple, kale, and ginger is a standout), Kure also has more filling breakfast items like acai bowls, oatmeal, and smoothies. Another great restaurant just a hop, skip, and a jump away is The Picnic House (2-minute walk), a fun, casual spot serving up dishes inspired by picnic classics (like Grilled Cheese and Tomato Basil soup).

Bars

Barlow (3-minute walk) is one of the more unique bars in downtown Portland. With a 1920’s speakeasy theme and a killer cocktail menu, it’s a great choice for a classy night out on the town. If you’re looking for something a little more laid-back, try Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House (14-minute walk), a popular Oregon brewery where you can sample beers brewed in-house specifically for the Portland location.
