Small and charming, this hotel is on a quiet, tree-lined residential street a short walk from Central Park, the Met, and other Museum Mile attractions. While the building is a 1930s almost-landmark, the interior has been updated with contemporary, unfussy furnishings, and the bathroom amenities are cruelty-free. Although the hotel is pet-friendly, the smallish rooms may not be suitable for families. There's no on-site restaurant, but room service is provided by an Italian restaurant around the corner. Free passes to a New York Sports Club facility one block away make up for no on-site fitness center.
