Fodor's Expert Review Hotel Hugo
525 Greenwich St., New York, New York, 10013, USA
The stylish and sleek rooms at this chic spot on the western edge of SoHo have the feel of small Manhattan apartments, with desks positioned at the windows. The Hugo stands out from the competition with its multiple rooftop spaces for dining, drinking, and watching the sun set over the river. Like most downtown properties, space is tight, but rooms do have luxe bathrooms with Italian tile and rain showers. Bar Hugo on the top floor serves excellent drinks to accompany the expansive views over the Hudson River.
PROS
- location convenient to the Hudson River walking path
- stylish on-site dining and drinking options
- rooftop with multiple spaces and fantastic views
CONS
- space is tight
- on a rather bleak block
- fitness center in windowless basement room
