Fodor's Expert Review Antigua Inn

622 Castillo Pl., Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87501, USA

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

Tucked down a narrow, unpaved lane, this peaceful, upscale four-room inn feels private and secluded but is actually just steps from the lively shops and restaurants on nearby Marcy Street and just a 10-minute walk from the Plaza. Amenities in this century-old 2,000-square-foot home include a fabulous state-of-the-art kitchen, a private courtyard, and ample room to spread out—it's become popular with groups, wedding parties, and families who rent out the entire property, but each room is also available on an individual basis, with the spacious Pueblo Room particularly inviting, with its private exterior entrance, glassed-in shower, and striking Native artwork. An extensive breakfast buffet includes organic bacon, fresh-squeezed juices, and quiche and croissants from the excellent Clafoutis bakery.
