Why We Like It
As one of the only non-gaming resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, Vdara offers a refreshing atmosphere for people who want the glitz and glamour without the literal bells and whistles that come with slot machines. Also, in a city known for excess, the commitment to sustainability is admirable and worthy of supporting. The property is LEED Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Vdara is a non-gaming, completely smoke-free resort just off Las Vegas Boulevard. While not for everyone, it is perfect for those who want to be in close proximity to the action while staying somewhere that feels more Manhattan than Nevadan.

Room
Neutral, muted colors and sleek lines give every room a sophisticated, upscale feel. Sizable horizontal windows keep even the standard room feeling open and free flowing. Refrigerator and kitchen-stocking services are available in every suite.
Tip Vdara is a dog-friendly hotel. Guests can bring two furry friends (combined weight must be 70 lbs ore less) for an additional nightly charge. The fee is steep – $75 – but if you have a pampered pup, it might be worth it.
Bathroom
Every room offers spa-style bathrooms that include soaking tubs and separate walk-in showers.
Lobby
Desert landscape colors are embraced in the Vdara lobby, which includes a 30-foot-long painting by Frank Stella titled “Damascus Gate Variation I” and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows offering a cascade of natural light.
Pool
The resort features a 40,000-square-foot pool and deck area complete with 19 cabanas and semi-secluded plunge pools.
You Should Know The concave glass side of the Vdara acts as magnifying glass for the sun and results in slowly traveling “hot spots” within the pool area. The phenomenon is dubbed “the Vdara Death Ray.” It hasn’t actually killed anyone, though it has been said to melt plastic. There are ample umbrellas by the pool to protect guests, but some guests report extreme heat in the pool area. Vegas is hot enough without the help; so bask in the sun with some caution.
Spa
ESPA is a globally recognized leader in the spa industry, and they only have three branded spas in the United States. One of them is located inside Vdara. Eleven treatment rooms and three distinct relaxation lounges at the spa offer a variety of signature treatments and options, including eucalyptus steam rooms, hot plunges and heated chaise loungers.
Gym
A 2,000-square-foot fitness center offers cardio, exercise machines and free weights. A smoothie bar offers a decent selection of smoothies, snacks and juices to satisfy any post-workout cravings.
Dining
One of the downsides of being a smaller, boutique hotel is having limited dining options. Your options at Vdara comes down to a standard café with the straightforward name Market Café Vdara and a small-plates and cocktail lounge called VICE VERSA. However, in-suite dining is available around the clock.
Drinking
VICE VERSA is an indoor-outdoor lounge featuring wines, spirits and cocktails; but for more variety you’ll have to go offsite.

Getting Around
An interior walkway connects Vdara with Bellagio’s Spa Tower and the ARIA Express, a complimentary tram that provides access to The Shops at Crystals, ARIA and Monte Carlo.
Restaurants
Endless options abound when you're staying on the Las Vegas Strip. If you're not pleased with on-site options, take a walk to a nearby resort property for more options. We recommend the Cosmopolitan.
Bars
If you want to stay upscale, head to the nearby Bellagio for a drink. If you want wilder, less inhibited drinking spots, nearby Planet Hollywood should do the trick.
