Fodor's Expert Review The Mirage Las Vegas
3400 Las Vegas Blvd. S, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89109, USA
The Mirage was purchased by Hard Rock International and is expected to undergo a major renovation beginning in early 2024, which will include a new guitar-shape hotel tower; in the meantime, you'll find rooms decorated in a cosmopolitan style, with blacks, dark browns, and deep reds, though they may also be redecorated. Bathrooms have marble accents and sumptuous appointments but tend to be on the smaller side. Views of the Strip and the volcano cost a bit more, but you can sometimes get a free upgrade if you request one at check-in. Several upscale restaurants, including Tom Colicchio's Heritage Steak and the Japanese Otoro, give The Mirage an impressive slate of both high-end and casual eateries. Be sure to spend time on the pool deck. Surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, the pools interconnect through lagoons and link around a cascading waterfall. At Bare Pool Lounge, DJ-spun music sets a lively mood as guests enjoy European-style sunbathing secluded by towering palms.
