Opening in Spring of 2018, No. 284 is a fascinating historic property turned luxurious guest lodging house. Commissioned in 1880 by Summer Rust Mead, a dealer of hosiery, gloves, and small wares, No. 284 was was among the first homes to be built on this block of Commonwealth Ave., known as on of the Back Bay's most prestigious streets. Formerly used as the Boston Speech School for Crippled Children, Copley School of Expression, and Phil Saltman Music Studios, No. 284 is set to provide a luxurious, 23-room guest house experience.
