Why We Like It

One can’t get much more in the thick of things than on the bustling and vibrant River Street. The rooftop bar has one of the best views in the city to take in a beautiful Savannah day.

Fodor's Expert Review

One of the newer hotels dotting the landscape, this locally owned and operated establishment is perched over River Street and offers expansive views of the Savannah River. The well-appointed hotel is resplendent with coastal-theme decor and remnants of historical details, like the hints of exposed brick in the lobby and a few of the rooms and the original wood floors said to date back several centuries. This is where you'll find the city's most beautiful rooftop bar, which features delicious small plates perfect for sharing. For business travelers, the Cotton Sail offers the only rooftop meeting space in the city.

Tip If the $27 per day valet parking seems a bit steep, you can always park in the Whitaker Street garage, which is only two blocks away and is $16 per day.
