If you're heading to Atlanta specifically for something Georgia Tech-related, there truly is no better place to stay that will cater to your campus-related needs. Fodor's Expert Review
In the heart of Midtown, this gleaming building gets kudos for its comfortable, contemporary decor, recently renovated rooms, and a staff that understands the needs of business travelers and meeting organizers. It also bursts with Georgia Tech pride, hosting the famed "Ramblin' Wreck"—a 1930 Ford Model A that serves as the mascot for the university's students—in its lobby. But you hardly need to be a Yellow Jacket past or present to enjoy your stay.
Tip If you have to get back and forth to the Georgia Tech campus during your trip, take advantage of the free Tech Trolley which stops right beside the hotel.

Room
The 252 guest rooms and four suites are straightforward and contemporary, with wood furnishings and pops of Georgia Tech navy and yellow. All rooms feature a writing desk, views of the Atlanta skyline, 49-inch flat screen TV, premium linens on comfy beds and complimentary high-speed wireless internet.
Bathroom
Bathrooms are tight with tub/shower combos but do feature marble sinks and decorated mirrors.
Lobby
There's no mistaking that you're in the land of the Yellow Jackets once you set foot in the hotel lobby. The famous gold-hued "Ramblin' Wreck" 1930 Ford Model A Sport coupe greets guests from it's parking space in the lobby next to oversized windows. The carpeting and furniture are royal blue and gold, to complement the university colors.
You Should Know During the school year, the hotel can become overrun with college students, especially on football game days. If you're a GTech fan, great! If you could care less about sports, best stay somewhere else on fall weekends.
Pool
There's an indoor lap pool with three lanes for getting in some exercise, as well as an indoor hot tub.
Gym
The gym is well-equipped with ellipticals, treadmills, cycling bikes, stability balls and overlooks the indoor pool. There are water dispensers and towels for your convenience.
Dining
On-site meals are in the 320-seat Conference Dining Room where there's a buffet of more than 20 dishes from cuisines including Southern American, Mediterranean and Asian. There's an a la carte menu as well if buffets aren't your thing. For a more casual dinner (starting at 3:00 pm) head to the Club Room for burgers, pizzas and other bar food, over a game of pool. Room service is available from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm.
Drinking
The Lobby Bar has only about five barstools, but there's standing room and seated tables. Expect to find your basic menu of wine, beer and cocktails and make sure to ask about food and drink specials around Happy Hour.
