EPCOT Family Tour

A trip to Italy is on hold, but Mom knows she can find a taste of Venice in the World Showcase. Dad, the Popular Mechanics devotee, can't wait to check out Test Track. Each can have a great day—in his or her own way.

Strategize

Devise a plan before pushing through the EPCOT turnstiles. Everyone will probably want to take off at Soarin' in The Land for the one-ride-fits-all thrill of simulated hang gliding (there are even special safety restraints for little ones). If your kids are too small for the height restrictions at Test Track, let Dad use the single rider line while Mom takes the kids to the PLAY! pavilion. Meet up with the riding parent at the Imagination! pavilion to ride along with Figment, the purple dragon, or head back to The Land for a Sunshine Seasons treat. Don't miss an under-the-sea ride at the Seas with Nemo & Friends before meeting the coolest dude of all at Turtle Talk with Crush.

Get Your World Showcase Passports

On the way into the World Showcase, let the kids get their own passports, complete with stickers, at any merchandise location. As you visit each country, they can get their passports stamped—not only a fun lesson in geography but a great keepsake. Before you cross the border, stop and let young kids play in the dancing fountains if they’re operating—it'll be one of their happiest memories. Bring a towel and a change of clothing, and you'll be happy, too.

For the Little Ones (and Mom)

Younger children can be creative at Kidcot Fun Stops, where a Disney cast member gets them started on a craft activity, such as coloring a Carnivale-style mask on a stick. At each of 11 Fun Stops, the kids can add something to the mask, such as a Viking ship at Norway after the Frozen Ever After ride. Children love Mexico because they can ride the boats at Gran Fiesta Tour starring the Three Caballeros. Now it's your turn, Mom. Italy is right around the corner, and the kids can watch a juggler or comedy troupe in the courtyard while you sip some wine at Enoteca Castello or go shopping.

Live Performances

The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, and more: hear top hits by iconic British musicians when the tribute band British Revolution amps up the fun outside the United Kingdom showcase five days each week. Grab a bench or dance to favorite tunes. Young children are thrilled to explore hedge mazes that surround the gazebo stage.

Live entertainment is one of EPCOT's strong suits—best shows for younger kids are the Jeweled Dragon Acrobats at China, Mariachi Cobre musicians at Mexico, Sergio the clown and juggler at Italy, and the JAMMitors percussion group at World Celebration (check the daily Times Guide).
