Ice Skating

The Ice Factory. Ice-skating in Florida? Yup! This Olympic-class facility has two rinks and several theme evenings each week. Teens are drawn to Friday's DJ Night, there are family-night rates on Saturday, and you can arrange birthday parties as well. Skate rentals are included with admission, and an upgraded pair (which costs a little extra) include extra padding (wearing thick socks is an option). Hours vary, and often the rink is being used for training, so be sure to visit their website before you go for an updated schedule on public skating. New to the ice? No worries: you can also get private ice-skating and hockey lessons. And dress in layers—on the rink the temperature averages between 50 to 65 degrees year-round. Long pants and a sweater are usually fine since you're moving around. 2221 Partin Settlement Rd., Kissimmee, Florida, 34744. 407/933–4259; www.icefactory.com. From $5; skate rental $3. Daily; hrs vary by rink and day.
