Fodor's Expert Review Bespoke

$$ New Haven Eclectic

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

New Haven's latest, hottest upscale dining option, Bespoke opened in 2007 to plenty of buzz and mostly wonderful reviews—a few have complained of uneven service, but time should iron this out. Vaunted local restaurateurs Arturo and Suzette Franco-Camacho have opened this sleek three-level eatery with a big-city feel and pricey but artfully executed contemporary international fare. Kick things off with a Thai-style confit of duck with tamarind glaze and fiery chilies, before sampling a boldly seasoned fennel-garlic-crusted pork tenderloin with quince-apple ragout. The wine list is impressive.
