Mountain Biking

Several routes through Grand Junction are well suited to bicycle use. The city also has designated bike lanes in some areas. You can bike along the Colorado Riverfront Trails, a network that winds along the Colorado River, stretching from the Redlands Parkway to Palisade.

Kokopelli's Trail. This trail links Grand Junction with the famed Slickrock Trail outside Moab, Utah. The 142-mile stretch winds through high desert and the Colorado River Valley before climbing La Sal Mountains. Loma, Colorado.

Brown Cycles. This company rents road, mountain, and hybrid bikes that start around $60 a day. It also sells and fixes bikes, and offers a full line of tandems for families, with expanded kid options for rent and sale, as well.
