Many wineries straddle Highway 128 in Philo, where the tasting rooms are more low-key than their counterparts in Napa. The wineries here, however, produce world-class Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, Rieslings, and Gewürztraminers, whose grapes thrive in the moderate coastal climate.
