Fodor's Expert Review Sir and Star at the Olema

With lovely garden views, creative and cryptically named dishes, and upscale-rustic decor that somehow incorporates taxidermied animals, this historic roadhouse (located within the Olema Inn) elicits both rants and raves, often from diners sharing the same table. The locally focused menu of California cuisine changes seasonally; a special prix fixe is offered by reservation on Saturday evening. Five upstairs guest rooms are sometimes available to diners if you want to plan to linger.
