Why We Like It

A fab location near the bay and Ferry Building and a grand entryway in a spirited environment makes this Hyatt Regency a fine choice for families or business travelers.

Fodor's Expert Review

The spectacular 17-story atrium lobby, reportedly the largest hotel lobby in North America, is a marvel. The gray concrete structure is the focal point of the Embarcadero Center, where more than 100 shops and restaurants cater to the Financial District, while the Ferry Building—a hub of activity, great shopping, excellent eateries, and a highly popular weekend farmers' market—is a short walk away.

Tip During the holidays, the hotel is abuzz with winter cheer, especially when the ice rink pops up in the Embarcadero.
