This pet-friendly and tech-forward hotel in the heart of Union Square pleases corporate travelers and their families.

Fodor's Expert Review

Revamped for business travelers who want to be in the heart of the action, this Union Square property might feel corporate, but the staff adds that dash of San Francisco kindness that sets this Hyatt above the standard.

Room

Rooms done in warm autumnal tones with textured custom furniture, original artwork, and teak beds, are all high-tech: windows can be blacked out from your bed, while a "jack pack" projects your laptop on a swiveling flat-screen. Spring for the Grand Club, and you'll get a room on an upper floor and access to the all-day food and beverage service, computers, and concierge.

Bathroom

Smallish bathrooms are decked out with glass-top vanities and porcelain sinks large enough to bathe a small child.

Lobby

A light-filled lobby has gas fireplaces warming homey nooks both upstairs and down. Giant modern wall art guards the lofty space.

Gym

Watch the fog roll in from the 24-hour StayFit Fitness Center, located on the 35th-floor, which features cardio machines, yoga mats, Pilates props and more.

Dining

The intimate OneUp restaurant highlights--both architecturally and on the menu--an impressive wine list. SF-themed dishes like clam chowder and cioppino populate the menu.

Drinking

Wines are the star of the OneUp lounge. Expect a huge selection of local wine in a lofty space you'll likely not want to depart.
