This 15-room Italianate mansion was built in 1877 and used by the state's chief executives from the early 1900s until 1967, when Ronald Reagan vacated it in favor of an upscale modern residence. Each of the seven marble fireplaces has a petticoat mirror that ladies strolled past to see if their slips were showing.
