Why We Like It
If you want a Mediterranean beach feel while vacationing in the middle of the city, you’ll love it here. The Cipriani’s go the extra mile to make their guests feel welcomed with classic Italian charm, food, drinks and service. Although it’s in a neighborhood that’s not known for its social scene, you’ll still be either walking distance or a very short ride (which the hotel can provide free of charge) to any restaurants, bars, shopping or attractions you might want or need.

An Italian getaway in the middle of Los Angeles, Mr. C Beverly Hills of the famed Cipriani family welcomes guests to their European home. Walking in, visitors are given complimentary Bellinis--a drink that was first created by the family patriarch Giuseppe Cipriani at Harry’s Bar in Venice in the 1930s. This helps set the stage for a chill, relaxing feel that permeates throughout the property.

Room
The rooms give off a nautical impression--kind of like a sailboat out of the movie The Talented Mr. Ripley (without all the murder). Wood floors, sprawling balcony views and red and/or white leather furnishings are typical in most rooms. The accommodations also come with free Wi-Fi and a daily newspaper.
You Should Know The rooms here aren’t cheap and the hotel often charges a 15% premium for "views" of Beverly Hills--and all you can really see are small houses, so it’s not totally worth it.
Bathroom
Woven black & white tile peppers the floors that lead to sunken bathtubs and separate showers. Metallic fixtures give the room a classic feel. If you opt for the Signature Suite, there’s a raised tub that has its own port window looking into the bedroom (or vice-versa).
Lobby
The lobby has a scholarly sensibility with deep wood accents, leather furniture and bookshelves lining the walls. The sunken bar specializes in Italian reds and Bellinis and guests can move about with their drinks while playing on the glass pool table, starting up a game of chess on the specially designed desks or listening to live music on weekend nights.
Pool
A massive pool-deck gives guests the impression that they’ve entered a yacht club. Teak-wooden slats lead swimmers around to cabanas and sunbeds for deep tanning during the day. On Tuesday nights, visitors can post up for dinner, drinks, and entertainment as movies are projected on a far wall.
Tip The hotel offers pampering packages at their cabanas like one-hour mini spa treatments, pressed juices, cheese plates, champagne, and more!
Spa
The spa highlights include separate steam rooms for men and women and offers facials, massages, body wraps, blowouts and more, including seasonal and holiday packages.
Gym
The small gym has all the standard cardio and free weight equipment you might need for a complete workout.
Tip The hotel has a package called Mr. C’s Cycles. If you book this for your stay, you get to use a top-of-the-line Colnago bike and you receive a yearlong subscription to Peloton magazine. You also get fresh pressed juices before your ride, a $75 dining credit at the restaurant and massage therapy at the spa. You get a lot of stuff.
Dining
The Restaurant at Mr. C features Venetian fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The classic bar is the perfect perch to grab some pasta and a bold Chianti.
Drinking
The lobby bar helps usher in a buzzy vibe along with live piano music on Friday and Saturday nights.

Getting Around
A very walkable area, you’re incredibly close to wide range of restaurants. For higher end shopping, you can walk to Beverly Hills, but it’s not right next door. There isn’t any metro access around here and for most things you’ll need to catch a taxi or hail a ride service like Uber or Lyft. It will never take you more than a few minutes to find a ride, though. The hotel also has a complimentary house car with a 3-mile radius. Mr. C offers an incredible car package. You can choose between a Fiat or a Ferrari as your ride of choice to drive around town.
Restaurants
There are two great restaurants right next door to the hotel. Picca serves Peruvian tapas and Sotto (just below Picca) is another Italian restaurant with some of the best wood-burned oven pizza you’ll find in LA. You’re also in a very Jewish part of town with a bevy of delis and kosher restaurants all along Pico Boulevard.
Bars
This isn’t an area that’s rich in bars or pubs, but you can head up to the Avalon Hotel (5-minute walk), which usually has a bustling late-night bar scene.
