On the north side of the Sunset Strip, the ANdAZ is Hyatt's fun younger sister, catering to hipsters, techies, and rock stars lounging in the lobby as "hosts" check them in via tablets (there's no front desk). Sip a cup of tea or a glass of wine in the lounge and wander over to the wide-open hotel restaurant, Riot House, and its equally open kitchen that serves Southern French–accented dishes made with California ingredients. Large rooms offer ample work space with a task chair, a comfy seating area, and vented windows. As an added touch, the refrigerator is stocked with free nonalcoholic drinks and healthful snacks.
