  • Relax at Korean spas: Whisk yourself away to Seoul at one of several spas in Koreatown, where you can get your scrub on or just lounge away the hours in pools and saunas.

  • Find the party: Hit up the summer pool scene inside the trendy Line Hotel or wander into the Wiltern for a night of live music.

Getting Here

Mid-Wilshire and Koreatown are in the middle of the city, meaning there isn’t direct freeway access. Main thoroughfares include Wilshire, Olympic, and Pico boulevards, but to avoid traffic, try using 6th Street. Luckily, there is also direct Metro access that runs across both neighborhoods with stops at LACMA on the Westside all the way to Wilshire/Vermont on the Eastside. However you get here, remember: parking can be challenging. Side streets are heavily regulated and meters are scarce. There are some public lots, particularly in Miracle Mile, but often it's valet all the way.

Planning Your Time

Take a full day to tour the Petersen Automotive, LACMA, the La Brea Tar Pits, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. They’re all next to each other, making travel between them easy, but check out museum websites for the most up-to-date closing days and times. LACMA is closed Wednesday. Many others close on Monday. Koreatown is the perfect evening spot to grab dinner and drinks and, schedule permitting, a show at the Wiltern.
