Gatineau

This town on the northern edge of the Ottawa River is best known for the nearby Gatineau Park and the many outdoor activities that can be done here. For more history, visit the Canadian Museum of History, which emphasizes the changes the country has undergone, from the prehistoric past to the present day. From Gatineau, it’s a short walk over the Alexandra Bridge to visit Ottawa, the nation’s capital. The view from either side of the river is stunning.
