Given new life by a new kitchen crew, Globe is no longer just a place to rubberneck celebrities and ogle model-slash-waitresses. Now, happy clients are there for the Italian-inspired comfort food that includes some revisited Globe classics by previous and now-famous chefs like David MacMillan, Frédéric Morin, and Martin Picard. Copious seafood platters and meats grilled on a wood-fired oven are almost enough to make us forget that George Clooney once fell for a barmaid here. Since then, Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg have been spotted chowing down in Globe's plush booths. The owners mingle freely, making introductions and keeping things running smoothly. One-dollar oysters (shuckabuck) are available every Thursday night. Get there early, they're only available while quantities last.
