Getting Here and Around

The city center is compact, so walking is the way to go. If you drive in for a day of sightseeing, you can park at an on-street meter or in garages like those on Pownal, Queen, and Fitzroy streets. Alternately, you can rent a bike at Outer Limit Sports, Go Wheelin Bike Rentals, or MacQueen’s Bike Shop. Rentals start around C$25 per day. Trius Transit also operates trolley-style buses as part of a public-private partnership (some cover the surrounding communities of Cornwall and Stratford, too). Most have their hub downtown at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, and the fare is C$2.25 in exact change. Prefer a guided tour? Options include the Confederation Players tours, the Harbour Hippo and its dry-land alternative, the Hippopotabus, and Prince Edward Tours (a Gray Line affiliate).
