Bus Travel

Long-distance bus service to Nova Scotia is limited. Maritime Bus runs the length of the Trans-Canada Highway from Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, through New Brunswick to Truro and Halifax, North Sydney, and Kentville. It can also get you to Nova Scotia from Prince Edward Island. Seats must be reserved in advance. Buses between Halifax and Sydney are also run by Cape Shuttle (C$70) and Scotia Shuttle (C$75).
