Greater St. John's

A number of must-see attractions can be found a short drive from the downtown core of St. John's. When you stand with your back to the ocean at Cape Spear National Historic Site—the easternmost point of North America—the entire population of the continent is to your west. Cape Spear and the historic property with Hill National Historic Site are excellent places to see icebergs and whales in spring and early summer. Plan to spend a full day exploring Greater St. John's to give yourself some time at each spot.
