Whale-Watching

Whale-watching season is from June or July through late October. Whale and nature cruises all begin at the town wharf, heading out into the Bay of Fundy for sightings of several species of whale, plus dolphins, porpoises, seals, and other marine life. Birdlife includes bald eagles, ospreys, puffins, and sheerwaters. Sightings can't be guaranteed, but the success rate averages between 95% and 100%. All outfitters supply flotation devices, and some provide drinks and snacks while others suggest you bring your own. All recommend warm clothing, regardless of the onshore temperature. You should arrive at the wharf up to 45 minutes before sailing time, and be aware that tours depend on weather conditions.
