Bus Travel

Pacific Coach lines runs several times a day between downtown Vancouver and downtown Victoria. Tofino Bus Island Express connects Victoria and Nanaimo to Ucluelet and Tofino. Tofino Bus Island Express also runs Tofino Transit, which offers a summer-only shuttle service in the Tofino area. Greyhound also serves Tofino and most other towns on Vancouver Island. BC Transit provides city bus service in several Vancouver Island communities. BC Transit's Victoria network extends as far as Sooke, Sidney, and Swartz Bay. Cowichan Valley Regional Transit, a separate BC Transit network, offers a limited service in Duncan and the Cowichan Valley. Salt Spring Island has a small BC transit system serving the ferry terminals and the village of Ganges, but it doesn't meet every ferry. The other Gulf Islands don't have transit services.
