This bastion, where Calle 8 curves around and becomes Circuito Baluartes, houses the Museo de la Ciudad. The museum contains a small collection of historical artifacts, including several Spanish suits of armor and a beautifully inscribed silver scepter. Captured pirates were once jailed in the stifling basement dungeon.
The unshaded rooftop provides an ocean view that's lovely at sunset.
