Fodor's Expert Review Thalasso Center & Spa
The 22,000-square-foot spa at the Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita resort is the first certified thalassotherapy spa in the Riviera Maya, meaning many of its treatments use seawater to wash your cares away. The classic hot-cold treatment cycle will take you from sauna to steam room, cold plunge pool to warm Jacuzzi, relaxing your muscles so that you can get the maximum benefit from your massage. The extensive menu features body scrubs, saltwater hydrotherapy, and proto-Maya rituals. Although most treatments involve getting wet, you'll also find healing dry remedies like aromatherapy, facials, massages, and acupuncture. Spa products infused with sea kelp and marine mud are said to eliminate toxins. Pilates, wellness cooking classes, and Maya healing practices are available upon request.
