Fodor's Expert Review Juan Martín Gallery

Mexico City Art Gallery

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

This gallery opened in 1961 and made it's name representing the artists of the 1960s avant-garde "Ruptura" movement. In the 1970s it was an important champion of photography as fine art, representing such Mexican legends as Manuel Álvarez Bravo and Graciela Iturbide. Today it focuses on younger, mostly abstract artists, and occasionally exhibits established artists from around the globe.
