Why We Like It

Tons of charm for the price, in an already-convenient area that gets more exciting by the month.

Fodor's Expert Review

Hidden away in a quiet but up-and-coming area away from the hustle and bustle of the Zona Rosa, this hotel is convenient to restaurants, bars, and shops, but much more affordable than some of its more central counterparts. Suites, suitable for up to four people, are ideal for families. The Argentinian restaurant hosts tango lessons on Saturday night and serves delicious steak dishes.

Asadero Argentino is the adjoining restaurant, though some of the city's most exciting new restaurants are opening in this neighborhood.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

Popular Roma Norte is a short walk away, as is the Centro Histórico. The Chapultepec subway stop is two blocks away.

Restaurants

Amaya (9-minute walk), from star chef Jair Téllez, also features the country's first all-natural wine list. The casual expat-owned Cicatriz Café (3-minute walk) is an all-day spot with great coffee and pastries in the morning, ample salads at lunch, and tasty cocktails at night (and a fried-chicken sandwich available only at night).

Bars

Hipsters rub shoulders with elderly domino-playing regulars at Spanish cantina Covadonga (8-minute walk). Salon Niza (6-minute walk) is a typical Mexican cantina with cheap tequila and free snacks that get better with each drink.
