Puerto Jiménez is a major fishing destination, with plenty of billfish, tuna, snapper, and snook, almost all year, with the exception of June and July, when things slow down. The best offshore fishing is between December and April. Charter captains follow the fish up and down the Pacific coast, so ask at your hotel for their recommendation of the best fishing boats currently in town.
