The Placencia location of the Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) is located behind Re/Max Real Estate on Main Street across from ScotiaBank. The BTIA publishes the Placencia Breeze, an informative monthly newspaper; it has a helpful website that lists accommodations, restaurants, and bars. Belize Tourism Industry Association. The Placencia chapter of the Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) office, also known as the Placencia Tourism Center, offers friendly and helpful information about lodging, tours, transportation, restaurants and other visitor information. The office is off the main street behind Re/Max Property Center on Main Street, across the street from ScotiaBank. The BTIA publishes the informative monthly tabloid newspaper, The Placencia Breeze, edited by long-time Placencia resident Wende Bryan. It also is available online on the Placencia BTIA's website.
