On a peaceful wooded hillside 2 miles west of Conwy, this country-house hotel has a laid-back atmosphere. The enthusiastic owners, Bre and Graham Carrington-Sykes, provide a genuine welcome and good food with a set-price dinner menu (£42 for 4 courses). There are spacious sitting rooms with big comfortable sofas and nicely furnished bedrooms, some with glass doors opening out onto an attractive terrace.
