Troy, known as Truva to the Turks and Ilion to the Greeks, is one of the most evocative place names in literature. To bring this UNESCO World Heritage site more to life, the Turkish government has commissioned an ambitious Troy Museum, expected to open by the end of 2016, that will tell the story of Troy and display artifacts from the excavations (currently housed in museums elsewhere).
