Air Travel

There are several small airports in the area. Bora Jet operates near-daily flights between Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Çanakkale Airport. From Balıkesir Koca Seyit Airport in Edremit, 50 km (31 miles) north of Ayvalık, Bora Jet flies daily to and from Sabiha Gökçen. Bursa, the largest city in the region, has an airport, but it is not served by direct flights from Istanbul.
