Fodor's Expert Review Müzedechanga
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
A beautiful, lush setting just a stone's throw from the Bosphorus, a Mediterranean-inspired menu, and a sophisticated ambience makes this restaurant in the Sakıp Sabancı Museum a draw in its own right. Particularly recommendable are the small plates, which include reinterpretations of traditional Turkish meze, such as grilled halloumi cheese in vine leaves or fried zucchini flowers stuffed with lor cheese (similar to ricotta). Overseen by award-winning London-based chef Peter Gordon, the menu also shows international influences, like the sea bass with creamy basil sauce or duck confit. The large, relaxing open-air terrace has been newly renovated to allow seating there nearly year-round.
