Opened in Şişhane by the chef-owner of Lokanta Maya, Didem Şenol, this casual restaurant and bakery is a delightful place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or dessert. The fresh, well-prepared lunch specials change daily but always include a half dozen or so cold items like smoked eggplant with tahini sauce or beetroot salad with avocado; you can sample two or four on a plate. The handful of hot dishes might include ox tongue with caper sauce or chicken with rosemary mashed potatoes. Gram's mouthwatering baked goods and desserts are worth a special trip. Seating in the small, tastefully decorated venue is around a couple of large, communal wooden tables next to an open kitchen.
