Bus Travel

Cappadocia and Central Anatolia are well served by intercity buses, but the distances from other places you are likely to be visiting are long. The 10- to 12-hour trip from Istanbul to Cappadocia costs about 70–75 TL, while fares from Ankara (4 to 5 hours) or Konya (3½–4 hours) are around 35–40 TL. In Cappadocia there are local minibuses connecting the towns, making it relatively easy to get around, at least in summer; service is less frequent in winter.
