Fodor's Expert Review Gülbahçesi Konya Mutfağı
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
The terrace of this restored mansion has one of the best views of the adjacent Mevlâna tomb complex. The menu contains largely regional dishes, and though the food isn't much above what you'll get elsewhere, the location goes a long way. So does the atmosphere—in warm weather, seating is on the open-air terrace; in winter, guests sit traditional Turkish-style, crossed-legged on cushions around low tables in small rooms. You'll find several versions of Konya's famous etli ekmek, flatbread covered with ground meat and other toppings.
