Ihlara Valley

A verdant river canyon dotted with rock churches carved into the cliffs above, Ihlara Valley is a pleasant change of scenery from the arid terrain typically seen elsewhere in the region and the chance to see more of Cappadocia's rich artistic heritage. The valley, which can be explored with or without a guide, makes an easy day trip from the Avanos-Nev?ehir-Ürgüp triangle.
