Fodor's Expert Review Meleklerevi

Dere Sok. 59, Ürgüp, Nevsehir, Turkey

Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.

Designed, owned, and run by a couple who formerly worked as architects in Istanbul, Meleklerevi (“House of Angels”) has cozy cave and stone rooms situated around a beautiful courtyard and garden with hanging vines, fruit trees, flowers, and even a resident turtle. Each room is different, but all have homey, old-fashioned furnishings, and suites have more than one bed, making them ideal for families; five rooms have working fireplaces. Common areas also include several terraces and a rustic interior dining room..
