Air Travel

For international arrivals, choose between two airports when flying to Valais: Geneva International Airport or Zürich Airport. Connecting service through London and Paris makes Geneva preferable for those heading to the west (French) end of Valais. Zürich brings passengers closer to the east (German) side, but the Alps are in the way; you must connect by rail tunnel or drive over one of the passes, which takes two to three hours.
