The first Alpine branch of the W hotel chain draws a hip, urban crowd that appreciates the mountain-ski-lodge-meets-modern-design aesthetic. The contemporary chalet-style rooms include partially wood-paneled walls, large open bathrooms with deep soaking tubs and rain showerheads, and terraces with comfortable red vinyl chairs and log side tables. Contemporary touches include entertainment systems with Bose and Bluetooth speakers, and the iconic Swiss crosses on the sink and tub fixtures and deer-hoof prints on hallway carpets add a sense of play. It's the only hotel in Verbier with a 24-hour gym, plus there's a gorgeous spa area with an indoor-outdoor pool, jetted tub, and sauna.
