Surrounded on three sides by glorious mountains, this centrally located hotel also prides itself on interiors of glossy wood, stacked stone, and leaded glass, giving it the look of a respected manor house. Guest rooms (some have balconies) include bathrooms with modern fixtures, and other furnishings tastefully mix antiques with the more modern. Intimate dining can be found at La Ferme, a low-slung, elegantly rustic restaurant with a central woodstove and farmhouse detail. Swiss specialties like fondue and Rösti (grated parboiled potatoes pan–fried into a buttery cake) are served in the atmospheric Fee Chäller.
